About
Wooten Spring Park is a mountain park and RV retreat currently being developed at 7,000 feet in the Sacramento Mountains of southern New Mexico, just above Alamogordo and outside Cloudcroft.
The property sits in a quiet, high-elevation valley surrounded by tall trees, green grass and natural water features, including a spring-fed stream that runs through the land.
The park is being thoughtfully designed to make you feel at ease from the moment you arrive. The layout flows naturally with the land—preserving its character and creating a great place to spend time outdoors.
The park will include:
Full-hookup RV sites
General store
Camping areas
Playground
Pickleball courts
A network of trails
Orchard spaces
Open areas for gathering
Quiet places to relax and enjoy the outdoors
And The Pond—a secluded gathering place tucked into the trees. Some come to cool off and play in the water, others stretch out in a tree hammock or settle into the shade. It’s the kind of place you don’t leave quickly—where time slows and you end up staying longer than you planned.
This property also has a strong connection to local history. During the early days of mountain rail travel, Wooten Spring served as a critical water source for steam engines making the climb toward Cloudcroft. It was the last fill-up spot before the final ascent, making this land part of the story that shaped the area.
Wooten Spring Park borders the Lincoln National Forest, with direct access to trails and additional entry points just a short distance away. It’s also within reach of destinations like Ruidoso and White Sands National Park, while still offering a sense of space and separation from everyday life.
Wooten Spring Park is being built as a place people come back to—not just for a stay, but for how it feels to be here.
